Rules

All participants/vehicles must conform to the following rules and technical qualifications prior to and during races. These rules and qualifications are intended to ensure the safety of participants and spectators throughout the event. This event is organized for the purpose of permitting amateur drag race enthusiasts a safe and enjoyable experience. There will be NO prizes or cash awards for the most successful racers as all emphasis is on safety, camaraderie and fun. Please inspect and ensure you and your vehicle complies with all rules and regulations prior to race day. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO ANY OF THE RULES OR TECHNICAL DETAILS. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR ANY REASON AFTER YOUR REGISTRATION HAS BEEN ACCEPTED.

ALL PARTICIPANTS: (A participant will be considered anyone in the party accompanying a participating vehicle.)

  1. May NOT consume any alcoholic beverages or narcotics prior to, during event or at any time while on the property of the event location.
  2. Must posses a valid driver’s licence. (not required if not driving)
  3. Must have parent/guardian signature of consent to drive if under 18 years of age.
  4. Must read, acknowledge and sign release and waiver of liability form.
  5. Must wear specified safety equipment (helmet/seat belts)
  6. Must abide by all rules, regulations and decisions of organizers.

ALL RACE VEHICLES: MUST Have:

  1. Safe tires with nuts on all wheel studs.
  2. Belts, hoses, fuel lines, brake lines in satisfactory condition.
  3. Coolant overflow reservoir.
  4. Drive shaft safety loop if using slicks, (recommended with street slicks).
  5. Secure battery hold down (tarp straps NOT acceptable)
  6. Seat belts
  7. Fully functional brake system.
  8. NO significant fluid leaks.
  9. NO loose items inside vehicle during race (Boom boxes, tools, parts, etc).

OTHER RULES & REGULATIONS:

  1. Anyone attending with driver as pit crew or family must enter all at one time to be included in the $50 entry fee.
  2. We will NOT be allowing free entry of “Pit Members” arriving at a later time.
  3. Pit “crew” will be limited to 4 persons, (any combination of adults and children totalling 4)
  4. ALL RACERS AND PIT CREW MUST ATTEND DRIVER MEETING BEFORE RACING. Drivers meeting may be group or one-on-one with tech inspectors.
  5. If vehicle appears to be regularly raced competitively at a sanctioned track, sanctioning body safety rules will apply.
  6. All racers must return from a race down track at a reasonable speed in single file.
  7. Place all refuse in supplied containers.
  8. Must NOT dump any chemicals, oil, fuel, etc. on the ground or in pits.
  9. No loud music in pit area.
  10. ALL RACES MUST BE RUN STRAIGHT DOWN TRACK ONE DIRECTION AT A TIME WITH SHINY SIDE OF VEHICLE UP!!
